Delete your Psychic account

Deleting your account permanently removes it, together with your wallets, budgets, expenses, income, notes and settings. It can't be undone, so export anything you want to keep first from Profile → Extract Data.

In the app

  1. Open Profile, then Edit Profile.
  2. Scroll down and tap DELETE ACCOUNT.
  3. Confirm with DELETE FOREVER.

Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email us from the address you signed up with, so we know the request is yours. We delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days.

Account & Data Deletion Policy

1. Your Right to Delete Your Account

Psychic allows users to permanently delete their accounts.

Deleting your Psychic account is different from temporarily signing out, uninstalling the App or stopping use of the Service.

When you permanently delete your account, Psychic initiates deletion of the account and the personal information associated with it from Psychic's active systems, subject to the limited exceptions described below.

Account deletion is intended to be permanent.

2. How to Delete Your Account

You can initiate permanent account deletion from within Psychic.

The deletion option can be found in the account or profile settings of the App.

Before deletion is completed, Psychic may ask you to confirm that you intend to permanently delete the account.

We may also require reasonable authentication or verification steps to help prevent someone else from deleting your account without your permission.

Psychic will not require unnecessary steps designed to prevent you from exercising your right to delete your account.

4. What Is Deleted

When your Psychic account is permanently deleted, information associated with your account is removed from Psychic's active systems.

Depending on which features you have used, this may include information such as:

The purpose of account deletion is to delete the account itself together with associated personal information rather than merely disabling access to it.

5. Information That May Remain Temporarily

Account deletion does not necessarily mean that every technical copy of information disappears instantaneously.

Limited information may temporarily remain where necessary in:

Such information will not be retained indefinitely for ordinary product use.

It will be deleted, overwritten, anonymized or otherwise rendered inaccessible according to the applicable system-retention cycle or legal requirement.

6. Service Providers

Psychic relies on third-party service providers including Supabase and Resend.

When a Psychic account is deleted, information controlled directly through Psychic's active systems is deleted according to our deletion process.

Certain service providers may temporarily retain limited information in backups, security logs, operational records or email-delivery records according to their own retention schedules and contractual obligations.

We do not use temporary retention by a service provider as a way to continue using deleted account information for ordinary Psychic functionality.

7. Transactional Emails

Transactional emails that have already been sent cannot necessarily be removed from:

Deleting your Psychic account stops the account from being used for ordinary future account-related communications, except where a final deletion confirmation, legally required communication or security-related message is appropriate.

8. Export Before Deletion

Psychic provides functionality that allows users to export their information.

Because account deletion may be irreversible, we recommend exporting any information you wish to keep before deleting your account.

9. Deleting Individual Information Without Deleting Your Account

Where supported by the App, you may delete or modify individual records without permanently deleting your entire Psychic account.

For example, Psychic may allow you to remove individual financial records directly through the App.

Deleting individual information does not automatically delete your entire Psychic account.

Likewise, deleting the application from your device does not automatically delete your Psychic account or cloud-stored information.

To permanently delete the account itself, you must use the account-deletion process described in this Policy.

10. How Long Deletion Takes

Deletion from Psychic's active account systems is intended to occur when the account-deletion process is successfully completed.

Some residual technical copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs or service-provider systems as described in this Policy.

If technical or legal circumstances mean that completion of a deletion request requires additional time, we will provide information about the process where required by applicable law.

11. When Some Information Cannot Be Deleted Immediately

In limited circumstances, we may be legally permitted or required to retain particular information after an account-deletion request.

12. EU and EEA Users

Users protected by the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") may have a right to request erasure of personal data under applicable circumstances.

Account deletion within Psychic provides a practical way to delete your account and associated data.

The GDPR right to erasure is subject to certain exceptions provided by law.

Deleting your Psychic account does not prevent you from exercising any additional rights you may have under applicable data-protection law.

13. United States Users

Depending on the US state in which you live and whether the relevant privacy law applies to Psychic, you may have rights to request deletion of personal information.

You may exercise available deletion rights through:

Psychic does not require US users to waive applicable privacy rights in order to request account deletion.

14. Users Under 18

Psychic permits eligible users from age 15.

Users aged 15 to 17 may have additional rights or protections under applicable law.

Where legally required, a parent or legal guardian may contact us concerning the personal information of a minor.

If we determine that an account belongs to someone who does not meet Psychic's applicable age requirements, we may delete the account and associated information.

15. Accidental Account Deletion

Account deletion is a significant and potentially irreversible action.

Psychic may use confirmation steps before completing deletion to reduce the likelihood of accidental or unauthorized deletion.

Once deletion has been completed and the relevant active information has been removed, restoration may not be possible.

For this reason, users should export any information they want to preserve before completing deletion.
